#1: A Note on Graphic Scores

For my first week in the course, I was assigned to composed a short graphic score. A graphic score, also known as graphic notation or a pictorial score, is a piece of music intended to be interpreted freely by the performers; hence, every performance is unique. They are also typically aleatoric. I named mine "Zags and Waves" as it is inspired by the periodic shape of sound waves. The recording can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL-3VW8411A.
