About the Author

Tyler Nicholson Groves is a Bachelor of Music (Honours in Music Education) candidate at Western University. He is also an organist at St. Paul's Anglican Church. His musical journey began at the age of seven, where he started playing piano at recitals. This experience provided a strong foundation for his studies at Mayfield Secondary School, where he completed the Regional Arts Program in horn performance.

Tyler is also an avid composer; two of his works were commissioned by Mayfield's ensembles. Through his experience in all strands of music — performance, theory, composition, musicology, history, and ear training — he has developed a passion for teaching music to others. Tyler hopes to share his passion for music education and his personal views on how we can do better as teachers through this website. Scroll down and visit other pages for more content!
